This is just to say how much I appreciate all the kindness and care everyone at the Pentlow has shown to Arthur during his time with you. How well he has done and how well you have done!

Carers Praised For 10 Years Service
Pentlow Community Care has presented its first awards for 10 years’ service to two key Home Carers. Julie McCormick and Vera Clifford have jointly assisted an enormous number of people in the Eastbourne area to remain independent in their own homes.
Community Care Manager Bob Mulvey said: “Julie and Vera are a perfect example in enabling people to achieve their aim; both have recently passed the milestone of working in Pentlow Community Care for 10 years, more importantly they are the first of our carers to achieve this.”
Julie and Vera are part of a team of 50 Pentlow Community Care Home Carers. Their duties include providing company, shopping, assistance with meals, personal care, general housework and cleaning, night care and escorting clients to appointments and other visits.
Bob said: “Care in the home is very important in assisting people to remain in their own homes, the support that our carers give can sometimes be the difference between being able to cope or going into residential care.”
Pentlow Community Care is part of Canford Healthcaree, which includes Pentlow Nursing Home in Summerdown Road, Old Town, and Inglewood Nursing Home in Nevill Avenue, Hampden Park. Canford in Eastbourne includes a Meal Delivery Service and Training Division

To me it was quite evident that regardless of the role, whether it might be nursing, caring, catering, office, housekeeping, maintenance or grounds, (my apologies for those I may not have included), everyone was totally committed and dedicated to caring not only for the residents but the relatives as well.
