Cookery club surprise visitor
Cookery club at Pentlow Nursing Home, Eastbourne, is a regular and popular activity.
At a recent club, however, the ladies were pleasantly suprised when Director Barry Lambert popped by to say hello. Barry, who is a regular visitor always has time to chat with the residents. Barry stopped for a chat with resident Gwen, before admiring the improvements to the garden. The gardener at Pentlow Nursing Home maintains several greenhouses and grows plants from seed for his magnificent borders and baskets.
Residents sampled the results of their own cooking in the newly refurbished conservatory area, which affords excellent views of the garden.

To me it was quite evident that regardless of the role, whether it might be nursing, caring, catering, office, housekeeping, maintenance or grounds, (my apologies for those I may not have included), everyone was totally committed and dedicated to caring not only for the residents but the relatives as well.
