Our Manager

The Home Manager, is supported by a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, carers, domestic and catering staff, who receive regular in-house training from our Training Manager.

“We pride ourselves on a very high standard of care here at Pentlow. We always have 2 nurses for 4.5 residents, which is higher than in many homes, and enables us to deliver really excellent care.

We do everything we can to give people the choice of how they live their life here, after all, it is their home. As part of our refurbishment, for example, we’ve given our residents the choice of how rooms are redecorated.

We are well known here, and are a popular choice for short term care – for respite or convalescence – as well as for long-term or palliative care. I believe one of our strengths is the mix of people we have here, as it fills the place with life.

I think the most important things to look for when choosing a home are cleanliness and light, and big smiles. If the home looks and smells fresh and well looked-after when you walk in, you can be confident that the residents are being looked after well too. And if the staff are happy and smiling, usually you will find that the residents are the same.”
