Pins & Needles Day
It was #PinsandNeedlesDay yesterday! Originally this day was to celebrate the opening of the pro-Labor play Pins and Needles on Broadway in 1937 – nowadays there are many interpretations.
For us, it was chance to all get out our needles and try out some knitting, with some of our keen residents finishing off their scarves and quilt squares. It was also a lovely opportunity to reminiscence about the countless items their mothers would knit, including their school jumpers. A lovely day had by all!
